Orienteering replaced with a skill sharing market day!

March 16, 2013

Hi everyone! Unfortunately our facilitator for Orienteering has had to pull out this term, so we are replacing the Orienteering workshop with a Skill Swap Day.  Details below.  Sorry for the last minute change.  We may try to reschedule orienteering in future warm months!

9th April – Skill Swapping Day

Everyone has a skill to share!  Be it a magic trick, knitting, a musical instrument, cats cradle, a tongue twister, crochet, a joke, a knot, a song, fortune telling, a poem, origami…

…the list is as endless as our imaginations!  Children and adults alike,  bring the tools of your trade and swap skills with everyone in our Autumn Skill Swapping Day!

We ran a day like this last year and it was a great success.  Personally, I learned some new words in new languages, how to draw anime characters, how to knit (I had forgotten), a new way to make Autumn leaf pictures and a new knot, some magic tricks and saw a demonstration of the construction of very complicated origami dinosaurs.  There was more on offer too, including science experiments and how to make the scariest witch sounds.  Let’s see what skills we can share this year!

Cost: $2 per family for HEA members $5 per family for non HEA members (to cover hall and insurance costs).  Payment can be made on the day.  Hope to see you there!

Love,

Julie
